Donation & Refund Policy
Sera Wildlife Conservancy Registered Community-Based Organisation — Reg. No. SBU/CBO/51 Registered with the Samburu County Government, Department of Social Services

1. About Your Donation
Sera Wildlife Conservancy is a registered Community-Based Organisation operating in Samburu East Constituency, Samburu County, Kenya. Donations made through this website support our conservation programmes, including wildlife protection, rhino conservation, habitat restoration, community conservation, environmental education, and tree planting.
Donations are voluntary charitable contributions. In return for a donation, no goods or physical products are provided. Your contribution directly funds the conservation work described on our website.


2. Donation Currency
Donations are processed in Kenya Shillings (KES). Where an international currency option (such as USD) is offered, the amount will be converted and settled in accordance with the rates applied by our payment processor and acquiring bank at the time of the transaction.


3. Payment Processing
All card payments are processed securely through Absa Bank Kenya PLC's eCommerce payment gateway. Sera Wildlife Conservancy does not collect, process, or store your full card details on its website. Card data is handled entirely within the secure, PCI-DSS compliant environment of our payment processor.


4. Refund Policy
We understand that errors can occur. Our refund policy is as follows:
Eligible refunds:

  • Duplicate transactions (where you were charged more than once for the same intended donation)

  • Transactions made in error (for example, an incorrect amount entered by mistake)

  • Unauthorised transactions (subject to verification)

Requesting a refund: To request a refund, please contact us within fourteen (14) days of your donation at:

Please include your donation reference number (for example, SERA-2026-XXXXX), the date of the donation, and the reason for your refund request.
Processing: Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment card used for the donation. Refunds are typically processed within fourteen (14) working days of approval, though the time taken for the funds to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer.

5. Voluntary Nature of Donations
Because donations are voluntary charitable gifts, we are generally unable to refund a donation simply because you have changed your mind after the funds have been applied to our conservation work. However, we will always consider genuine requests fairly and in good faith.
